How to Play Nirmal Lottery
To play the Nirmal Lottery, purchase a ticket for the next draw at a cost of
₹40. You will receive a code consisting of two letters and six numbers. The code
always starts with the letter ‘N’, followed by a second letter which shows the
series of the ticket.
Tickets are sold in 12 series, so the code on your ticket will be unique. Keep
your ticket and your purchase receipt safe so that you can check them against
the winning numbers. You’ll also need to present both of them in order to
collect a prize.
The Nirmal game was launched on 7th October 2017 and continues to be drawn every
Friday at 3:00 pm at Gorky Bhavan, near Bakery Junction, Thiruvananthapuram. The
draw is supervised by Kerala Lottery staff members.
If the number on your ticket matches one of the winning numbers, you’ll receive
the associated prize amount.
To buy lottery tickets in India, you must be aged 18 or above. Players do not
have to live in Kerala in order to purchase Nirmal tickets.
Revenue from the Nirmal Lottery helps to fund Kerala’s sanitation and waste
management, as well as improving the natural environment in the state.
Prizes
You win the top prize of ₹70 Lakhs if your ticket number is random selected as
the jackpot winner in the weekly draw. If you have the same six-digit number but
your ticket is from a different series, you win the consolation prize of ₹8,000.
There are six other prize levels, so you can also win an amount ranging between
₹100 and 10 Lakhs. The following table shows the prizes you can win in the
Nirmal Lottery.

Claiming Prizes
The method for claiming a Nirmala Lottery prize depends on the value of your
win, but you should always make sure you fill out the required details on your
ticket. Keep both your ticket and purchase receipt in a safe place – if you win
a prize, you’ll need to present both documents.
If you win a first or second prize, you’ll need to make a trip to the
Directorate of State Lotteries. Prizes between ₹5,000 and ₹1,00,000 can be
claimed at either the Directorate or a District Lottery Office. Lottery agents
can pay out prizes of up to ₹5,000.
Nirmal prizes must be claimed within 30 days of the winning draw date. Kerala
Lottery prizes are treated as income and have a 30 percent tax applied.
